H1N1 (Swine) Flu Update
Drs. Jack Ross, Director of Infectious Diseases, and Joseph Klimek, Vice President for Medical Affairs, are in regular contact with state and federal health officials concerning H1N1 flu. Hartford Hospital offers regular updates. (more)

PSAG is a multidisciplinary team of some 30 employees from throughout the hospital. The group meets daily to tackle and monitor patient safety and quality issues across the organization. Keep up with PSAG's activities by reading the weekly PSAG Newsletter. You can also perform a word search or select a specific issue in order to find articles of interest. (more)
 
Hartford Hospital is dedicated to providing you and doctor with up-to-date information on our performance, as measured by process-of-care benchmarks established for hospitals nationwide by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. The CMS standards set forth key elements of care in five areas. There are a number of key measures that go beyond those required by CMS. We are in the process of publishing data in other areas that can help physicians, patients and families evaluate our performance and track our ongoing improvement efforts. (more)
 
Hartford Hospital has initiated multiple quality-improvement efforts with the goal of improving patient safety and medical outcomes as we provide compassionate, appropriate and efficient care. One recent iniative is the creation of Rapid Response Teams in Cardiology. This approach already has dramatically improved patient outcomes. (more)
