Overview
The Heart Transplant Program
offers comprehensive treatments indivdually tailored to each patient. Treatments include surgical therapies such as heart transplantation and ventrical assist deivce (VAD) implantation, a mechanical pump that serves as a bridge to transplantation for patients awaiting a donated organ.
Continuous comprehensive monitoring and patient education is a major focus of post transplant care. The dedicated transplant team works closely with patients and their families to develop the best treatment plan to restore the patient's health and quality of life.
