Interventional Electrophysiology Laboratory
The Interventional Electrophysiology Laboratory is a specialty lab within the Heart Rhythm Management Center designed to provide comprehensive care for patients with complex electrical heart disorders. The Lab’s three full-time physicians are dedicated exclusively to advanced technological procedures that are used to study the heart's electrical function. Areas of expertise include ablations for complex arrhythmias, device implantation and arrhythmia management, using state-of-the-art procedures such as cardiac ablation, laser lead extraction, bi-ventricular pacing treatment for heart failure, internal cardioversion and internal cardioverter defibrillator implantation.
Arrhythmia and Syncope Clinic
The Arrhythmia and Syncope Clinic is a specialty lab within the Heart Rhythm Management Center designed to provide comprehensive care and follow-up for patients with arrhythmias. The Arrhythmia and Syncope Clinic specializes in the diagnosis and management of arrhythmia and syncope, risk stratification for sudden cardiac death, device therapy and follow-up.
Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillator (ICD) Clinic
The Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillator (ICD) Clinic is a specialty clinic within the Heart Rhythm Management Center designed to provide comprehensive care and follow-up for patients with implantable cardioverter defibrillators, which are used to manage life threatening rapid heart rhythms. An implantable cardioverter defibrillator continuously monitors and senses a person’s heart rate and delivers an electric impulse to restore a normal heart rhythm.
Pacemaker Clinic
The Pacemaker Clinic is a specialty clinic within the Heart Rhythm Management Center designed to provide comprehensive care and follow-up for patients with pacemakers, which are used to manage life threatening slow heart rhythms. A pacemaker stimulates and regulates the heart muscle with electrical impulses when a slow heart rhythm is detected.
