HealthStar is a specially designed and equipped van ready to bring preventive information and wellness education into Central Connecticut's many neighborhoods.  

 

Carrying Hartford Hospital personnel and the most-recent information and guides on a wide range of health issues, HealthStar is available for fairs, schools, sports events, community centers and businesses throughout the region.

 

The type of screenings that can help people stay well - pressure checks, cholesterol and blood sugar screenings - can also take place on board HealthStar.    

 

A gift from the Hartford Hospital Auxiliary, HealthStar was designed to our exacting specifications and is equipped with the most current mobile communication, computer systems and audiovisual equipment. It can be used for presentations to several visitors at a time, or to provide confidentiality in screening procedures. A large awning, running the length of the van, allows for outdoor classrooms.
