CPE Extended
(October 14, 2008-April 16, 2009) - Tuition: $725
Extended unit is a part-time program designed as a continuing education experience for selected lay persons and clergy to:
-
deepen one's own spirituality
-
learn new skills in one's ministry
-
explore a new career in the ministry
The program includes weekly classes and 6 other hours per week of pastoral care. While in the program, you will have the opportunity to be part of our monthly worship and on-call rotations.
The program will involve over 400 hours of which 100 will be devoted to education program and the balance to the practice of ministry.
(May 26, 2008 - August 8, 2008) - Tuition: $725
Summer CPE is a full-time program designed primarily for seminarians, qualified lay persons, local clergy, teachers, social workers desiring skills refinement and others who wish to explore more generally their vocation in ministry.
The program will involve over 400 hours of which 100 hours are devoted to educational program and the practice of ministry. The curriculum integrates the experience of ministry with theology, personal history, behavioral sciences and spiritual development.
CPE Residency
(August 29, 2008 - August 31, 2009) - Stipend: $26,000
Deposit: $350 at acceptance
Tuition: $100 the next units
Benefits:
Residency is a year-long-full-time professional training program designed for those who have already had a at least one unit of CPE, have graduated from seminary (or equivalent), have had significant pastoral experience and desire further deepening and specialization of pastoral skills.
CPE Supervisory Residency Benefits:
Supervisory Residency at Hartford Hospital is an option for selected students who seek either a limited supervisory experience with ministerial students or are working towards professional certification as a CPE Supervisor in the Association for Clinical Pastoral Education.
A year's CPE residency is a prerequisite, along with other requirements. Supervisory training is limited and budget dependent. Call for consultation if interested.
