The Schizophrenia Treatment Center at The Institute of Living provides care for people dealing with schizophrenia and related disorders.
Schizophrenia Treatment Services at The Institute of Living (IOL) are expanding and uniting into a national center of excellence to provide specialized, innovative care for patients diagnosed with schizophrenia and related disorders.
The programs serve patients (children, adolescents, adults, and older adults) and their families by providing specialized treatment throughout our continuum of care. Treatment for each patient involves both innovative and well-established treatment methods designed to promote optimal functioning.

In addition to these specialty services, the IOL offers a complete range of assessment, inpatient, partial hospitalization, and outpatient services for children, adults and the elderly covering the complete range of psychiatric and dual diagnosis issues.
The Department of Psychology offers an APA-approved Residency in psychology in which prospective candidates may choose an area of emphasis to pursue their advanced competency training. The Schizophrenia Rehabilitation Program (SRP) area of emphasis focuses on working with patients who are severely mentally ill with an emphasis on neurocognitive rehabilitation.
