The School of Allied Health offers a two-year program in affiliation with Manchester Community Technical College.

The program leads to an Associate’s Degree and eligibility to take the national certification exam of the Association of Surgical Technologists.

 

Students benefit from Hartford Hospital’s size (35 operating rooms) and complete over 1,200 hours of contact hours, including advanced procedures such as major trauma surgery, organ transplants and laparoscopic surgery.

Rotations expose each student to all major surgical specialties. Courses of study are arranged to enable students to gain knowledge and skills in classroom, laboratory and clinical settings.
